Ken studied architecture at the North East London Polytechnic where the late Ron Herron was his design tutor. He then worked at Stillman & Eastwick-Field for 6 years primarily on residential projects. He joined Michael Aukett in 1977 and became a Director of Aukett Associates in 1987. Projects included the award winning Lennox Wood Computer Centre for Sun Alliance. He was team leader on the limited design competition for Heathrow Terminal 5.
Ken co-founded Michael Aukett Architects with Michael Aukett in 1995. He has been responsible for major projects including the Pliva Research Building in Zagreb , high profile schemes for Tesco such as Abbeydale Road Sheffield, Orpington, Cheetham Hill Environmental Store Manchester, Waitrose Wallingford, and The Forum at Solent Business Park for The Prudential Assurance Company.
Ken and Michael have been rewarded by the receipt of numerous design awards and commendations which include RIBA National and Regional Awards, Financial Times, Structural Steel Design and Civic Trust Awards.
