Mathew studied at the University of Greenwich where he received a postgraduate certificate in Professional Architectural Studies and an Honours Diploma in Architecture. Mathew gained in-depth experience with Macintosh Haines & Kennedy notably working on a new build development plant for Pfizer.

Mathew then went on to join Holford Associates to gain further experience on a variety of projects including residential conversions, schools, and office refurbishment and enjoyed a brief working experience in Australia.

Since joining Michael Aukett Architects in 1997, Mathew’s work has focused on the retail, commercial and mixed- use sectors and he is currently the director responsible for the Mayflower Plaza project in Southampton along with a number of other significant retail-led schemes.
