Project
Waitrose Lichfield
Location
Lichfield, UK
Client
Waitrose

As a result of growing success, Waitrose commissioned Michael Aukett Architects to develop a new ‘generic’ store design strategy in 2004. The primary aim of the project was to create a consistent look and feel to new stores.

Detailed guidelines allow sufficient design flexibility to ensure each individual store design complements the local environment. The first of these stores is now open.

A contemporary, yet restrained approach to design, combined with a careful choice of materials delivers a durable, high quality scheme for the city of Lichfield.
